Kate Schroeder

INTERN COUNSELOR

Kate Schroeder is a counseling intern working towards an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Missouri State University and plans to graduate at the end of 2024. In 2021, Kate graduated from MSU with a BS in Psychology and minor in Biomedical Science. Kate has experience counseling adults and children and is open to working with adolescents and couples, too. In working with these individuals, Kate has implemented a variety of techniques pulling from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and somatic counseling theories.

While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Kate was a member of the Missouri State women’s soccer team and has a keen understanding of the mental trials of being an athlete. Kate also has brief experience working as a neuropsychology intern at a local hospital.

Kate’s self-care consists of exercising, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

My Approach

My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe and inclusive space for you to bring your authentic self to our sessions. I aim to work with you as you grow and achieve your goals as a unique individual. I look forward to hearing your input and will respect your autonomy throughout our counseling journey to implement techniques that work best for you. I will walk with you through whatever you bring to our sessions, including daily stressors, trauma, and hopes for the future. When you leave our sessions, my hope is that you will have felt heard, understood, and empowered. I look forward to being part of your support system.

$0.00 to $50,000 = $20 per session
$50,001 - $100,000 = $30 per session
$100,000 and over = $40 per session
