I strive to help clients feel accepted and supported while providing a safe space to work towards mental health goals. I use an evidence-based therapeutic approach to construct healthy solutions to life concerns. We will work on discovering your coping abilities, resources, skills and strengths to help you navigate success in life.
Using a solutions focused based therapy (SFBT) approach, I am dedicated to cultivating a supportive, inclusive and engaging environment that allows you to reach your fullest potential. Therapy sessions are client centered while helping you set and achieve life goals with strategies that fit your current need.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Professional School Counselor, and National Certified Counselor, I have experience working with adults, couples and youth in the LGBTQI+ community, religious and minority groups. I am an active member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists. I have aided in the annual conference proposal review process and stay current on topics within the AASECT community. With over ten years of experience as a Professional School Counselor, I work with local school districts to build curriculum plans for school counselors and serve on leadership teams. During my first three years as a school counselor I was awarded with “Counselor of the Year” by Dallas County Technical College.
