Darryl Schafer

MA, MS, LPC

Darryl is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In addition to his current private practice, he also worked with clients at the Betty and Bobby Allison Ozarks Counseling Center, a United Way agency dedicated to providing mental health services to the community regardless of one’s ability to pay.

Darryl sees clients who are struggling with a variety of issues — depression; anxiety; relationship difficulties; and questions of meaning, purpose, and self.

He also specializes in working with those who have experienced religious trauma — those who have been deeply hurt by the messages they received as part of their religious experience. His office provides a non-judgmental environment where clergy and laity alike can express and reflect upon their hurt, their sadness, their anger, their fears, and their doubts.
