Brooke Shivers

MS, LPC

Brooke Shivers is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education in 2003 and a master’s degree in counseling in 2005, both from Missouri State University.

Brooke has had the opportunity to work with students and parents in the high school and middle school settings as a Professional School Counselor for the past 12 years. Currently, she serves on the Springfield Public School (SPS) Counselor’s Steering Committee. In addition, she has worked several years with many struggling youth as the Missouri Options Liaison, as well as the Community Service Liaison, providing outreach in the community. Brooke received court mediator training, which provided new insight into conflict resolution techniques. Prior to counseling, Brooke was an elementary teacher for five years working with students educationally and also through small group settings to provide social/emotional awareness and guidance.

For over 17 years Brooke has worked with students of all ages, as well as many parents and families. She specializes in anxiety and depression in adolescent youth, family counseling, emotional and social struggles, as well as various self-esteem concerns.

To help promote the decision-making process, in a non-judgmental environment. During this process I will work alongside you as we both strive to gain awareness and understanding. Through this insight and self-discovery, we will begin to see possible paths for healing.

$90 per 50-minute session

$100 per 50-minute session

Payment is accepted at the time of service.

A sliding fee scale is available to those experiencing financial hardship. Please inquire if you would like more information.

The client is responsible for submitting a receipt to the insurance company for reimbursement.
