Dr. Bonni Behrend

PhD, LPC, RPT

Dr. Behrend is a National Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). She received her master's degree in counseling and doctorate in counselor education from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. As a former elementary school counselor, Behrend specializes in counseling children and adults of all ages through the use of play and expressive art techniques. She is currently an assistant professor in counseling at Missouri State University.

Goals

My therapeutic goals are to provide a safe and comfortable space that allows for free expression to process life and its many challenges. Through play, art, or facilitative processing, my hope is to help you discover your strengths, resiliencies, and talents in the therapeutic setting that help to resolve tension and empower you to greater understanding of yourself and your gifts. Through the release of expression, I can assist you in finding a greater sense of insight and awareness to life and better manage the challenges that may be encountered on a daily basis.
